Basis of Award

• Criteria based on Year 12 Overall Position, or international equivalent. Interviews may be required;
• Personal statement regarding high school involvement and community involvement;
• Personal reference from Principal, Head of Year, or other teacher; and
• Previous study of business, business communication, commerce or computing, hospitality, sport, travel, tourism at school or college is not a requirement for enrolment in the Bachelor of Business, nor for application for the scholarships.

The Singapore Scholarship was announced by the Prime Minister of Singapore Mr. Goh Chok Tong at the 6th ASEAN Summit in December 1998. The objective of the Singapore Scholarship at that time was to help alleviate the problem of educating young people in the ASEAN countries due to the regional economic crisis. The Singapore Government awards the scholarship to Government-endorsed student from the other member countries of ASEAN. Each Scholarship is for a full-time undergraduate degree course at the Nanyang Technological University, the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Management University. All disciplines except for Medicine and Dentistry are open to Scholar. The duration of each Scholarship is for three or four years, depending on the discipline. The award is based on academic merit and places will be allocated by open competition. If necessary, a one-year bridging or foundation programmed, in addition to the undergraduate studies, will be provided. To be eligible, a candidate must: Be a citizen in an ASEAN country (Except Singapore) Possess excellent academic records Have a good command in English

Engineering (ICT) International Undergraduate Scholarship for 2008 offers students the opportunity to obtain an undergraduate qualification at UTS:Engineering. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the student’s year 12 (or equivalent) results. The scholarship is also open to diploma holders. Engineering (ICT) International Undergraduate Scholarship for 2008 covers 50% of the tuition fees commencing from the first semester of study for a period of four years. One student will be selected per semester and the commencement of the scholarship will be the same as the commencement of the student’s Bachelor of Engineering.

This new international educational exchange program enables individuals from Indonesia to study at a Community College in the United States to develop professional skills. Eligible fields are agriculture, Applied Engineering, Business Management and Administration, Health Professions, including Nursing, Information Technology, Media and Tourism and Hospitality Management. To apply to the program candidates must: Have completed a high school education and have a valid high school diploma. Be currently employed or have relevant work experience in the field in which they are applying. Have English language skill that provide a basis for enrolling in academic coursework following approximately 2 month of intensive English language study in the U.S Submit a complete application (original one and two copies) and Have an institutional or prediction TOEFL score of 500 or equivalent

The KAUST Discovery Scholarship is the general scholarship program of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). This program is designed to ensure that any highly talented student who is qualified and eligible to enroll in KAUST will receive full financial support while at the University. Those who receive a Discovery Scholarship will receive full tuition support, a living stipend, and summer and career enrichment programs. KAUST will offer Discovery Scholarships to all KAUST students – an exceptional level of support intended to attract gifted and talented students from Saudi Arabia and from other countries around the world. KAUST will offer a pre-enrollment version of this general scholarship program to students attending first-university or bachelor’s degree programs. KAUST will provide financial support to pre-enrollment Discovery Scholarship recipients at their home institutions prior to the University’s opening. Upon graduation, these students will enter KAUST as master’s degree students in September 2009 and 2010 to complete their graduate studies on a fully funded scholarship.

SembCorp Scholarship - The SembCorp Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students of Indonesian nationality for a 4-year undergraduate studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This scholarship offered for undergraduate programme in science like engineering, biology, mathematics, computer, etc. Eligibility Criteria Indonesian nationals who have completed the SMU Ujian Akhir Nasional (UAN) examination (IPA) or are completing SMU Ujian Akhir Nasional (IPA) in year 2008 are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Only students with outstanding high school results will be shortlisted for consideration.

The Nanyang Scholarships are awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes in Nanyang Technological University. Eligibility: All nationalities, Programmes: All undergraduate degree programmes, Educational Qualifications: Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level holders, Local Polytechnic Diploma holders, Year 12 equivalent results. Eligibility Criteria The scholarship is open to all nationalities. Candidates with international qualifications should have outstanding academic results and extra-curricular activities.
