Japanese Studies Program is one of the Japanese Government scholarship programs (Monbukagakusho) specifically designed for japanese studies students to enhanced Japanese language skills and deepen understanding of Japanese culture. This program is a non-degree programs and the length is 1 year from October 2010.

Requirements

  1. Students who are still active in college at one college who studied the language, culture, and literature of Japan.
  2. Age under 30 years old on April 1, 2010.
  3. Students from third level up in time to apply (no exceptions for those who have the ability and recommended by the college and who have learned more than one year in college on 1 April 2010 may participate although not yet reached a level three).
  4. Physical and spiritually healthy.

Facilities

  • Without the bond department.
  • Flight ticket allowance, economy class Indonesia (Jakarta) – Japan.
  • Free entrance examination fees, tuition and registration fee.
  • Monthly allowance of ¥ 134,000 per month (there is a possibility to change).
  • Participants provided dormitory regulated solely by payment recipients.

The graduate program for international students of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Saitama University offers highly qualified individuals from overseas opportunities to pursue graduate studies and research in the field of civil and environmental engineering. [Japan] UNESCO / Keizo Obuchi Scholarships 2010
UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi (Japan) Co-Sponsored Research Fellowships and Scholarships' Programme: 2010 Cycle – With a view to keeping alive and honouring the spirit of former Prime Minister Obuchi and his belief in “people building the next era”, 20 fellowships and scholarships per year, for the ninth year, will be awarded to deserving candidates from UNESCO developing countries, especially the least developed countries (LDCs), who are eager to undertake research based on scholarships' aid on one or more of the topics listed below. The aim of the fellowships and scholarships' aid is to support innovative and imaginative post-graduate research in the areas of development to which former Prime Minister Obuchi was committed and which coincide with areas of particular interest to UNESCO. INTRODUCTION Mr Keizo Obuchi, former Prime Minister of Japan, passed away on 14 May 2000 at the age of 62. Soft-spoken and charismatic, he was known as a man of integrity, honesty and modesty. He built a reputation as an exemplary official and was a particularly adept negotiator. A member of Japan’s Diet (Parliament) for over thirty years, he served as Japan’s Foreign Minister in 1997 until he was elected Prime Minister in July 1998. Mr Obuchi was known in the international arena for his commitment to development issues and his resolve to put Japan at the forefront of countries involved in consolidating the efforts of the international community to further progress in the social and economic development of humankind.

Scholarships for Government Officials by Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA) IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) The Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA) was first introduced in 1993. It is funded by the Government of Japan, administered by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and conducted at various graduate schools in Japan. Its objective is to contribute to institutional capacity building in economic policymaking to promote the sustainable growth of emerging and developing economies in Asia and the Pacific. By training future macroeconomic managers in these countries, the JISPA aims to enable them to better formulate sound economic and financial stability policies needed for sustainable growth and development. The JISPA targets highly motivated government officials who may serve as future macroeconomic policy makers with the capacity and vision to contribute effectively to the economic development of their countries. Scholarship awards are made on the basis of the candidate`s academic record and work background, mathematical and statistics skills, English language proficiency, and potential for contributing to the macroeconomic and financial management and economic development of their country. The assessment also includes qualities such as the candidate`s commitment to public service, willingness to learn, and openness to new ideas. The scholarship covers tuition-related costs and most living expenses for the scholar herself/himself. Officials who receive the JISPA scholarship cannot accept other scholarships. Scholars are expected to devote full time to their studies while in Japan.

[Japan] Monbukagakusho Scholarship for Research Student 2009
Embassy of Japan began offering scholarships for Indonesian students wishing to study at Japanese universities as research students in the 2009 school year in accordance with the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) scholarship program. Grantee Anyone who wishes to join the regular graduate course (master course, the course or doctoral graduate professional course) after studying research as a student or move from the master course or a graduate professional course doctoral course, must pass an entrance examination by interested universities. Master`s in the science programme Sustainability is a new international master` s program to train international-minded professionals who can help create a sustainable society.
